Our services are focused on truly living well with dogs, not just surviving but thriving together in all aspects. Our programs incorporate a combination of lifestyle skills, obedience training, and behaviour modification protocols based in neuroscience and neurobiology, and dive into aspects of canine enrichment, fulfilment, as well as appropriate mental and physical stimulation.

This comprehensive approach ensures we are pursuing goals with respect to full-picture wellness, and addressing the root cause of behaviour rather than spot-treating on a surface level only. Our objective is for families to enjoy every moment of training and living with your dog, whatever that looks like for you!

We use an online booking system which stores all the client and dog information, vaccine and health information, and provides waivers and documents to be signed. With this system you can submit booking requests directly, send and receive messages with our staff, and view your account history!

Meet the Owner

Kiley opened Courteous Canine in 2018 after spending years in both the working dog and pet dog industries. She has since completed many continuing education experiences, travelling around Canada and the USA to learn from some of the industry’s leading trainers and behaviour modification specialists.

On top of running her own business, Kiley has achieved multiple concept, application, and tool-specific certifications through the Professional Association of Dog Trainers, and shares her knowledge and experience as the Lead Mentor in the PADT Mentorship Program, educating trainers on canine cognition and using neuroscience to compliment the training process.

Services

Our services are tailored to the needs of the individual dog and family, no cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all approach! All of our services begin with a consultation, in-home or virtually for those that live outside of travel range, so that we can review health and behaviour history, evaluate the dog and environment, and together create a program that work for your family’s unique circumstances.

The majority of training occurs in the family’s home and local environments, with occasional use of our home-facility or the rare recommendation of a hybrid Board+Train program. All of these avenues will be discussed in the consultation!
