Our services are tailored to the needs of the individual dog and family, no cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all approach. All of our services begin with a consultation, in-home or virtually for those that live outside of travel range, so that we can review health and behaviour history, evaluate the dog and environment, and together create a program that works for your family’s unique circumstances.
The majority of training occurs in the family’s home and local environments, with occasional use of our home-facility or the rare recommendation of a hybrid Board+Train program. All of these avenues will be discussed in the consultation!
Consultation
During a consultation you will meet with Kiley and her staff for assessment and discussion on goals and concerns, and together you will create a plan for moving forward with training. In your consultation you will also be given guidance such as anything needed to prepare for a program and support on how you can get started improving your life with your dog from that moment forward.
Consultations at Courteous Canine’s location or the client’s home (within 30 minutes of our location) have a fee of $100+hst. Consultations outside of that distance may have additional fees.
Lifestyle Program
Focused on in-home training and canine fulfilment, this program offers combinations of training sessions with day camp visits, virtual support and homework review, access to small group classes, and progress reports with goal setting and next step recommendations. This program can be intensive or supplementary depending on your unique needs!
Foundations is a monthly program that includes 8 private sessions, daily check-ins and unlimited homework review, access to our monthly small group class, and an end of month training summary and goal setting report. The cost of this is $1920+hst per month, and most clients will be working on Foundations for 1-3 months depending on their goals, before transitioning into Maintenance or Support programs!
Maintenance is a monthly program that includes 4 private sessions, 4 day camp visits, weekly check-ins and homework review, access to our monthly small group class, and an end of month training summary and goal setting report. The cost of this is $1240+hst per month.
Support is a monthly program that includes 1 private session, 4 day camp visits, access to our monthly small group class, and an end of month summary and goal setting report. The cost of this is $515+hst per month.
Day Camp
Our take on “daycare”, this service works in conjunction with our Lifestyle Program and is available to current and previous training clients. Dogs engage in activities such as hiking, swimming, obstacle courses, ball pit fun, obedience and lifestyle skill practice, and confidence building exercises, with plenty of rest and snuggles between all the excitement. Dogs who have healthy social skills may participate in group socials, or will enjoy individual interactive playtime with a staff member.
Day Camp is included in Lifestyle Maintenance and Support programs, and can be selected as an a la carte upgrade to any of the programs. Day Camp fees are $55+hst per day, with optional add-ons for grooming, off property adventures or training outings, local transportation, and more.
Board+Train
A hybrid program of training at our home facility and in the clients home, these programs are where your dog lives with Kiley and her family in their home, getting a jumpstart on lifestyle and obedience goals, behaviour modification, and the dog’s state of mind, before returning home to continue training in their familiar environment. Board+Train programs include sessions with the family while the dog stays with us, as well as sessions in the family’s home after the dog returns.
Puppy Raising (starting at $5200+hst)
Puppy (2-6 months of age) lives with us for 4 or more weeks, working on foundations such as crate and potty training, socialization and exposure, name recognition, clicker conditioning and confidence building, loose leash walking and recall. This program includes weekly family sessions while puppy is here, a professional grooming appointment, and follow up sessions after the puppy returns home!
Obedience & Lifestyle (starting at $4900+hst)
Dog (6 months or older) lives with us for a minimum of 4 weeks working on general obedience and lifestyle goals. This program includes 4 family sessions at our home facility while the dog is with us, a professional grooming appointment, and 4 follow up sessions in the family’s home after the dog returns.
Behaviour Modification (starting at $9800+hst)
Dog (6 months or older) lives with us for a minimum of 8 weeks, working on behaviour modification goals such as fear, anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, aggression, etc. This program includes 8 family sessions at our home facility while the dog is with us, a professional grooming appointment, and 8 follow up sessions in the family’s home after the dog returns.
Boarding Stays
*Our boarding services are only available to past and current clients at this time, due to limited availability and high demand.*
Board+Refresh includes on property adventures, lifestyle and obedience skill practice, enrichment activities, natural chews, previous training maintenance, individual or group socialization, and plenty of rest and snuggles between the activities! $90/night
Board+Advance includes all of the above-mentioned activities, while also improving on previously taught lifestyle or obedience skills, such as applying new concepts and applications or increasing the challenge from what the dog is confident in. $125/night
Intensive Care is for dogs who require significant support while boarding due to health or behaviour concerns. Contact us to discuss eligibility and limitations! $150/night
Various additional services can be added to boarding stays, such as grooming, off property adventures or training outings, specialty training requests, local transportation, and more.
