Kiley opened Courteous Canine Training Services in August of 2018 after spending years in both the working dog and pet dog industries.
From her years of experience with dogs in a variety of settings one thing became abundantly clear; people are struggling. People are struggling to get through the day with their overexcited, nervous, anxious, or out of control dogs, and there is a desperate need for guidance. Kiley’s passion for helping people and dogs live cohesively is what prompted her to narrow her focus and open her own business so that she could be that missing piece, teaching both owners and dogs how to effectively communicate, build healthier relationships, and be the best they can be together.
“As someone passionate about my trade, I pride myself on continuing to study with leading trainers internationally.”
Tools, theories, science, client instruction, hands on approach…
There are so many ways to train, and I have made it my mission to explore the various ways I can continue to help dogs and owners. To accomplish this I am constantly attending seminars, watching webinars, and investing myself into shadow programs with some of the top trainers in North America.
Some of the larger names in the industry that I have worked with in person have been Jonas Black (Punkass Dog Trainer & K911 Austin – Austin TX), Sean O’Shea (The Good Dog Training and Rehabilitation – New Orleans LA), Victoria Smith (Take the Lead K9 Training – Orlando FL), and this list will soon be including Larry Krohn (Pak Masters Dog Training – Bowling Green, KY) in Sept 2023.
Most recently I have been fortunate enough to be hand-picked to participate in an exclusive mentorship program under renowned trainer Jonas Black, and is also working towards various certifications to add to my already extensive handling and training experience. I am so excited to bring more knowledge home to my staff and clients!
Continuing education also includes significant home study, with subjects such as neuroscience, canine behaviour and body language, canine nutrition and alternative medicines, general health & grooming techniques, canine conditioning and sports injury… The list goes on! I am very proud to also work closely with an amazing team of canine professionals including local veterinarians, canine behaviourists, groomers, and even an Ayurvedic practitioner. Together we strive to achieve and maintain optimal heath and care for your dog, and provide as many opportunities for owner education as possible.
“I cannot thank Kiley enough! She is fantastic and I have seen a complete change in our dog thanks to her guidance. She goes above and beyond. Highly recommend”

“…The drive from Brampton to Wainfleet was so worth it to have top grade dog training. Kiley was very understanding towards our urgency to have our dog trained—we have an English Mastiff who had just turned 1 year old and a newborn (he was always a gentle giant but having a giant breed around a newborn can be scary, especially for first time dog owners). Once I contacted Kiley, she responded instantly and explained her program and she got my Winston in within a couple weeks of us contacting her. She is extremely helpful and compassionate, all while being exceptionally knowledgeable. We left our Winston for a board and train for 4 weeks and I did not have any worries at all, because you can just tell that she would treat our big goofball as if he were her own. When we came back to pick him up, we found that our clueless and fearful gentle giant had become a confident (although he is still scared of water LOL) and independent dog. This, in turn, made us confident owners and better leaders. Kiley miraculously cured our dog’s anxiety, which we did not think was at all possible to do within a short span of 4 weeks. He came back to us completely crate trained, well behaved (making very few mistakes at home, if ever), and very respectful of boundaries (very important when you have a newborn). He looks to us for direction now, instead of making decisions on his own and most importantly, he drools less because he learned to no longer beg for food LOL (I really thought this was impossible)! I could go on and on about Kiley but this review is long enough. Check her videos out on Instagram and FB if you have any doubt, but she is definitely one of the best in the dog training world!
Thank you for everything you have done for our family, Kiley!“
